The Triple Crown Trio, Jaime Corum, Lisa Palombo, and Jocelyn Russell formed the Brushes and Bronze collaborative following their various exhibitions capturing the 1973 Triple Crown winner Secretariat and furthering his legacy during the famed champion’s 50th Anniversary celebration traveling tour held in 2024.
Jaime Corum

Jaime Corum’s equine art & portraiture captures the conformation, action and the spirit of the horse through an understanding informed by her years of experience as an equestrian and life-long horse lover. A proud Kentuckian, she spent her formative years partly in the saddle and the rest of her time painting and drawing horses. Jaime’s work spans across the globe and is featured in the most prestigious sporting art galleries and exhibitions. Her works have been featured in multiple publications and programs and she was selected as the artist of the Woodford Reserve Official Kentucky Derby Bottle for both 2022 and 2023. Jaime was most recently honored for her towering three-story mural of Secretariat at the Secretariat Park in Paris, KY that garnered national and international attention.
Lisa Palombo

Contemporary American Impressionist Lisa Palombo is known for her expressive brushwork and fearless use of color. For over 35 years, she has been capturing the beauty of nature as well as the elegance, power and grace of racehorses. Additionally, Palombo’s work has been featured on more than 40 book covers, numerous magazine features, a Columbia Pictures block-buster film and the special volumes: The Best of Oil Painting, Exploring Color, The Best of American Oil Artists (Vol. II) and Lisa Palombo: American Impressionist. A celebrated artist collected worldwide, Lisa Palombo was recognized as the official artist for the 2020 Secretariat 50th Birthday Celebration and again in 2023 at the Belmont Stakes and the Secretariat Golden Anniversary art exhibition in Saratoga Springs, NY.
Jocelyn Russell

Jocelyn Russell is renowned for her monumental bronze animal and wildlife sculptures in numerous public and private locations, including the Audubon Zoo in New Orleans, and a recent focus on Thoroughbred champion Secretariat and the horse racing world. Her heroic size Secretariat with jockey Ron Turcotte aboard (21′ in length, Lexington, KY and Ashland, VA) was a focal point of the Secretariat 50th Anniversary Triple Crown celebration tour at the 2023 Kentucky Derby, Preakness and Belmont Stakes, followed by additional exhibitions at Saratoga Race Course and Colonial Downs. Jocelyn’s other equine-related projects include the Sgt. Reckless monument at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, and the installation of a life-size monument of Secretariat in retirement recently unveiled in Paris, KY.
